Teledirect Announces strategic decision to make its Kuala Lumpur Call-Center regional and global call-center.

"After the opening of our Kuala Lumpur call-center 2 years ago we felt the conditions were right to start offering regional and global call-center support out of Malaysia" said Mr Junique, CEO and founder of Teledirect.

Teledirect who currently operate 200 seats just opposite KLCC has had tremendous success in Malaysia servicing the financial sector here. "In a space of only 2 years we were able to scale up to 200 staff hence taking the lead in the local call-center outsourcing financial market". We felt there was a gap in call-center professionalism as far as third party call-centers are concerned.

Teledirect now looks at developing Malaysia as a regional and global call-center hub leveraging on its cultural and language capabilities. "Some of our programs integrate Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia into one central location at the heart of the golden triangle. This means we are able to speak Mandarin, Cantonese as well as other dialects while delivering high quality English. That's Malaysia's advantage."

In addition to this our affiliation to the WPP Group gives us access to at least 70% of the fortune 500 companies worldwide.

When asked to comment about Malaysia's strategic advantage against India and The Philippines Mr Junique said: "The Malaysian government is creating an environment that other countries are dreaming about. The stability of Malaysia and the quality of its workforce have already been proven internationally in the semi conductors and manufacturing sectors. With initiatives like the MSC and others, foreign companies who are serious about outsourcing should consider Malaysia. From a cost perspective Malaysia is competitive with India and The Philippines."

Teledirect operate 7 call-centers in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, The Philippines and India. It is part of the WPP Group which employs 62,000 people in 103 countries across 1400 offices. WPP's U.S. call-center business is operating under the name Centerpartners and operates 1500 seats in 7 U.S. locations.
